Expert: Two months ago, I didn't think it was possible. And now? It might be inevitable. Somewhere, Archie Griffin is hearing footsteps. Yes, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow deserves to win another Heisman Trophy.

Its easy to plunge in from 1yard out every time your on the goal line. Give that to the running back and you got a QB with alright passing yards. plus the defense is awesome. You cant give Tebow all that credit

if you put his numbers against the other QB's he finishes 3rd behind Bradford (4080yds & 46 touchdowns), and Graham Harrell (4747yrds & 41 touchdowns).  Tebow has 2299yrds passing and 507yds rushing ( 2806yds combined) with 37 combined touchdowns. Oklahoma and Texas Tech have 1 loss also.

Bradford wins the Heisman.  No contest.

I agree. These so called "experts" always seem to have an agenda. Maybe Bradford should have broken down after the UT game. Slingin' Sammy is above it, and is humble enough even now when it's down to the last week in the voting to make any comments period.

Your first paragraph makes it sound as though Florida (aka. Tebow) has already beaten "Top Ranked Alabama".  Well last time I checked, that hasn't happened yet.  I won't say it certainly isn't possible but Alabama is in the number 1 spot for a reason - they are damn good!  Are they as good as Florida?  I don't know but they are certainly NOT among Florida's easiest games and the game has not been played yet.  I wouldn't count those chickens yet.

The jury's still out, I think we have to see the results of this weeks games. Certainly any of the Top contenders, QBs Bradford, Tebow, Harrell, McCoy  & RB Greene are worthy of the award. The Big 12 with it's intense competition might cancel each other out, and  Tebow gets his 2nd. award. It is going to be an interesting  week. Bradford & Tebow still  have a chance to impress the voters.

There should be no problem with Florida beating Alabama this weekend. If McCoy doesn't get the award, I hope Tebow does. Not Bradfor of Harrell...what everyone has to remember is that no matter how good a QB looks, he is only as good as the TEAM around him. GO LONGHORNS...

OK, the Sooners TEAM is ranked ahead of your "shorthorn" TEAM and playing in the Big 12 Title game.  Bradford's numbers dwarf Tebow and McCoy both as well as the rest of the TEAM setting records around him.  They are great QB's, but Bradford is the cream of the crop, will win the Heisman, and when the final BCS comes out, it will be the "shorthorns" on the outisde looking in.  They the way the BCS bounces ya' know.

So you cry after a defeat and promise to play hard the rest of the season.  And that makes you deserve the Heisman trophy.  If it wasn't for winning last year, Tebow wouldn't even be in the race this year.

Tebow promised and delivered by playing harder the rest of the season and keeping the Gators winning.  He brought them to number 2. He is a phenomenal leader and a natural athlete. He inspires his teammates and fans alike. I went to Florida State and the rivalry is fierce. What do I say now? GO GATORS!! Tebow deserves the Heisman.

Tim Tebow exemplifies what the Heisman Trophy stands for.  Period.  Someone who stands out from all the rest.  The heartfelt statements he made after the one point loss were not those of a "crybaby", but from someone who took the loss upon his shoulders and felt bad for his team and fans.  How many times has that happenend?  He is so unselfish and such a terrifice role model for all.

Yeah, give it to him!  Bama has a history of making Heisman trophy qb's look like they are running for their life!

During any normal college season Bradford, Harrell, or McCoy would win the Heisman.  But given the extreme play in the Big 12 South, I don't think one of them distinguished himself from the others.  So I think Tebow, who is a fantastic QB, wins b/c the Big 12 candidates will cancel each other out.

I don't get it.  I'm not saying Tebow isn't good, he is.  But last year when he won the Heisman, his team lost 3 games.  I cannot recall a Heisman winner whose team did not, well, win.  The media loves Tim Tebow.  He's a nice guy.  If I hear one more time about his missions to save the world, I am gonna vomit.  He's Jesus incarnate at ESPN so we know where those shallow minded lemmings are going to vote.  But here's the deal, the Heisman goes to the player with the greatest impact on their team.  Tell me that is not Colt McCoy.  Tell me that is not Sam Bradford.  Tebow cried when he lost to an unranked team.  Bradford shook hands with McCoy who willed Texas to beat the number 3 team in the country.  There are a lot of one loss teams.  How many of them had their loss to an unranked opponent?  Three - Penn State (no Heisman talk here), USC (again, no Heisman talk) and Florida - where Jesus lives.  And while we want to say Florida has impressively beaten teams, those teams have turned out to be mediocre: LSU (5 losses), Georgia (3 losses), South Carolina (5 losses), Tennessee (7 losses), Kentucky (6 losses), Vanderbilt (6 losses), Arkansas (7 losses), Auburn (7 losses), Mississippi State (8 losses), Mississippi (4 losses).  The only solid team is Alabama and their offense is anemic.  Florida looks great because Florida could be up by 90 points on a team and have their first string in to pad numbers to make them look better.  Style points is what they call it.  No wonder everyone hates the Gators.

I think the Heisman goes to either Bradford or McCoy and my vote is McCoy as the best all around player in the Big 12 which I think is the best conference in the country (even though I love my Buckeyes).  The only reason to bestow it on Tebow is to tie Archie's record.

Daly, your forgot their BIGGEST win of all, the Citadel. I agree, from what the media hype is Tebow is a nice guy. But, does he DESERVE to win it,or has he EARNED IT, more than McCoy or Bradford, don't think so! But looking at the flip-side to this, the last time OU had a quarterback that was, umm, dissed on the  Heisman, they walked out of the state of Florida with the national title.  Like the OU players said during their pre-game handshake, THEY CAME TO GET THEIR MAN'S HEISMAN BACK!

Okay, Tebow who? I believe Darren McFadden was robbed of a deserving Heisman Trophy. Tebow is good but not as good as a McFadden or for that matter a Matt Jones. If Matt Jones would have had the blocking Tebow has he should have won a Heisman. Tebow is nothing without the other players. Put him at Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, etc and he would be mediocre. McFadden accomplished his stats around a mediocre team. So maybe we need to give him another Heisman so we don't have to see him cry.

I'm neither a Tebow fan nor a Florida fan. I won't be thrilled if he wins again. But if he does, I'm sure that among the first to congratulate him will be Archie Griffin. That man has class!!!! Does Tebow?

I don't think Tebow is any more deserving of the Heisman than McCoy or Bradford.  All three are good QBs.

Tebow was the best last year and is still the best "ALL ROUND" football player in the nation. He could play a DB at any position..or just a running back, and blocker.                                                                                                                              Other QB's have more TD's and passing yardage, but don't have the leadership, knowledge aspects of the game.   A Tebow comes along about every 20 years.  And I'm not a Gator fan.

Go TAR HEELS..and you know who the best basketball player is... ; )

I agree that Tebow is a fine young man.  I remember watching the espn special on him before he stepped foot on the Florida campus.  But that does not constitute winning the Heisman trophy.  Why does diving for 1 yard TD's = winning a heisman trophy?

His numbers are "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay" down from a year ago, agreeing with the above poster, McFadden should have won.

The other QB's don't have the leadership?  All 3 QB's in the Big 12 have led their teams to 1 loss seasons, with each of those losses against Top 5 caliber teams, not a non-ranked team at home.  Bradford(OK I'm biased), McCoy, or Harrell, deserve this trophy much more than Mr. Tebow this year.

You know it really doesn't matter who wins the popularity award (aka Heisman Trophy) it ceased to mean anything years ago. Is Tebow the most valuable player in college football? No. I am not sure Bradford, McCoy or Harrell are either. How many Heisman Trophy QB's are playing at the next level? The Heisman Trophy has become equal to Prom King in high school. Lets see who wins the Maxwell Trophy that is the one for QB's.

                                          Go Sooners!
